About the Role
Redefined Staffing, LLC is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to be responsible and accountable for the delivery of remarkable total patient care. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner.
Responsibilities in include but are not limited to:
Triaging incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
Immediately stabilize incoming patients
Administering medication as instructed by physicians
Starting intravenous lines(IV)
Setting broken bones
Performing tracheostomies and intubations
Administering/removing patients stitches and sutures
Creating and maintaining incoming patient records
Working with a team of emergency staff to help patients
Helping transfer stable patients to other wings
Ensuring that the community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
Collecting, and reporting occurrences, and if necessary, assist in developing/implementing improvement plans.
Partnering with administrators and other team members to maintain patients’ and team member’s health safety.
Partnering with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to patients.
Implementing infection control practices in the facility.
Safely and efficiently distributing and/or administrating medications, injections, nebulizers, moderate wound care per state regulations
Identifying ongoing needs and services of patients including documentation for patients with a change in health care status.
Completing any assigned evaluations.
Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss the potential changes in service/medication levels and updates the patient’s service plan as indicated by state regulations.
Maintaining communications with patient’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
Using knowledge and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; Standards of Nursing Practice; Standards of Patient Care; Joint Commission, state and local laws; Patient’s Bill of Rights.
Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
Must hold a valid RN license for the State of NC
Current valid ACLS and Basic Life certification required.
Interpersonal and communication skills
An understanding of medical technology and equipment
Strong assessment skills, giving you the ability to detect subtle changes in your patient’s condition
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
In-depth knowledge of medications and their actions, including interactions, side effects, and dosage calculations
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Strong communication skills
The ability to handle end-of-life issues
Ability to work well in a team environment – in the ER, you are a critical member of a complete care team including physicians, specialists, aides, and other medical professionals.
The ability to rapidly make a decision and take instant action

Required to pass a background check and drug screening
