About the Role
Redefined Staffing, LLC is seeking highly specialized Registered Nurses for Medical/Surgical units who can provide care for patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring that the community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
Participating in hourly rounding
Patient repositioning and skin integrity checks
Providing emotional support to patient and family members
Constant critical thinking and preparation for every possible care scenario
Consulting and coordinating with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Preparing and administering (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and recording prescribed medications.
Reporting adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
Educating patients on surgical procedures.
Recording patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitoring and adjusting specialized equipment used on patients, and interpreting and recording electronic displays.
Initiating corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
Providing bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre-and post-surgery patients.
Initiating patient education plan, as prescribed by a physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs.
Changing dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs.
Preparing equipment and aids physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
Responding to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
Participating in discharge planning.
Collecting, and reporting occurrences, and if necessary, assist in developing/implementing improvement plans.
Reviewing each patient’s medical history, taking notes of important information
Providing patients and their family members or caretakers with information about home recovery, including any restrictions on diet or activity
Partnering with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to patients.
Implementing infection control practices in the facility.
Partnering with administrators and other team members to maintain patients’ and team member’s health safety.
Safely and efficiently distributing and/or administrating medications, injections, nebulizers, moderate wound care per state regulations
Identifying ongoing needs and services of patients with a change in health care status.
Completing any assigned evaluations.
Partnering with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss the potential changes in service and/or medication levels
Updating the patient’s service plan as indicated by state regulations.
Maintaining communications with patient’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
Using knowledge and practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; Standards of Nursing Practice; Standards of Patient Care; Joint Commission, state and local laws; Patient’s Bill of Rights.
Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
Must hold a valid RN license for the State of NC
Current valid ACLS/ and Basic Life certification required.

An understanding of medical technology and equipment
Strong assessment skills, giving you the ability to detect subtle changes in your patient’s condition
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
In-depth knowledge of medications and their actions, including interactions, side effects, and dosage calculations
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Strong communication skills
The ability to handle end-of-life issues
Ability to work well in a team environment.
The ability to rapidly make a decision and take instant action
